05 May 2022Η Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Πνευμονικής Υπέρτασης είναι μια ετήσια παγκόσμια προσπάθεια ενημέρωσης για την Πνευμονική Υπέρταση, μια σοβαρή κατάσταση που προσβάλει τους πνεύμονες και την καρδιά.
Στις 5 Μαΐου, άνθρωποι σε όλο τον κόσμο συμμετέχουν στην Παγκόσμια Hμέρα Πνευμονικής Υπέρτασης, με στόχο τη βελτίωση στην έγκαιρη διάγνωση που συχνά καθυστερεί, τη θεραπεία και την φροντίδα και τελικά στον Εορτασμό της Ζωής των Ανθρώπων που ζουν με Πνευμονική Υπέρταση.

06 Apr 2022Φέτος συμπληρώνονται 20 χρόνια από τότε που ο Παγκόσμιος Οργανισμός Υγείας (ΠΟΥ) όρισε την 6η Απριλίου, ως παγκόσμια ημέρα φυσικής δραστηριότητας.
Ο όρος «φυσική δραστηριότητα», δηλαδή η κάθε μορφή κίνησης που παράγεται από τους σκελετικούς μύες σε εξωτερικούς ή εσωτερικούς χώρους και απαιτεί κατανάλωση ενέργειας (όπως για παράδειγμα η βάδιση, η ενασχόληση με τον κήπο ή οι οικιακές εργασίες), συχνά συγχέεται με τον όρο «σωματική άσκηση», η οποία αφορά στην προγραμματισμένη, δομημένη και συστηματική σωματική δραστηριότητα, με στόχο τη βελτίωση της φυσικής κατάστασης (της καρδιοαναπνευστικής λειτουργίας, της δύναμης και της ευλυγισίας).

06 Apr 2021Το 2002 ο Παγκόσμιος Οργανισμός Υγείας (ΠΟΥ) όρισε την 6η Απριλίου ως παγκόσμια ημέρα φυσικής δραστηριότητας. Υπολογίζεται ότι κάθε χρόνο, 5 εκατομμύρια θάνατοι παγκοσμίως οφείλονται σε έλλειψη φυσικής δραστηριότητας, αφού τα μη δραστήρια άτομα παρουσιάζουν 20-30% μεγαλύτερο κίνδυνο θανάτου από οποιοδήποτε νόσημα. Η φυσική δραστηριότητα αναφέρεται σε κάθε μορφή κίνησης που μπορεί να παραχθεί σε εσωτερικούς ή εξωτερικούς χώρους, κατά την ενασχόληση στο σπίτι, στην εργασία ή στον ελεύθερο χρόνο του ατόμου και διακρίνεται σε χαμηλής, μέτριας και υψηλής έντασης.

On behalf of the organizing committee it is a great pleasure, to invite all of you to join ATHENA 2019 Conference which will be held on 19- 21 November 2019 in Athens, Greece.
ATHENA 2019 Conference is a major international multidisciplinary event, in the field of severe infections taking place every 2 years in Athens Greece and attended nationally and internationally by upwards of 500 attendees from all over the country and worldwide. The conference has the aim to provide the opportunity for the audience to interact with world-distinguished speakers and profit from their deep knowledge and expertise in difficult aspects of the current practice on diagnosis, treatment and management of severe infections.
